Luas Announces Easter Weekend Schedule Changes and City Centre Stop Closures

As we approach the Easter weekend, commuters and travellers across Dublin will start to feel the effects of Luas’s Easter timetable changes. With the aim of improving services and reducing road congestion during this busy period, several key stops in the city centre will experience temporary closures. While this may be frustrating for some, it’s important to keep in mind the long-term benefits that these changes will bring. Luas has announced changes to its operating hours and frequency over the Easter weekend, along with the closing of major city centre stops. On Good Friday (7 April), trams on the Red and Green Lines will run according to Saturday hours and frequency. On Easter Sunday (9 April) trams will run according to Sunday hours but Green Line stops between Dominick and St Stephen’s Green will be shut from the first tram until roughly 4:15pm to allow for the Easter Sunday 1916 Commemoration Event. Luas services on Easter Monday (10 April) will operate according to Sunday hours, resuming normal hours and frequency from 11 April. Commuters are advised to use the TFI Journey Planner or the TFI Live app to plan alternative transport.
