“Five Men Arrested for Traffic Offenses and Drunk Driving in Loiret over Weekend”

The Loiret national police and the municipal police arrested five men following traffic offenses, in particular drink-driving, during the weekend of Saturday April 1 and Sunday April 2, 2023.

Several blood alcohol levels observed

Following swerves on the road, the police checked a 20-year-old motorist at 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, in Orléans. He drives despite having his license revoked. He also impersonated another person. Drunk driving, his blood alcohol level is 1.24 grams per liter of blood. He receives an appearance on prior admission of guilt.

At the same time, still in Orleans, the municipal police checked the driver of a car whose rear passenger was not wearing a seat belt. The driver, 25, is drunk and his blood alcohol level is checked at 0.96 grams per liter of blood. He receives a criminal composition.

At 4:30 p.m., in Olivet, a 39-year-old driver has just completed a joint report following a material accident, he leaves by swerving in front of the municipal police who then decide to check him: his blood alcohol level is 2.34 grams per liter of blood. He receives a penal order.

Sunday, April 2, at 3 p.m., in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle, the police check a 55-year-old driver who is driving without a French license (he presents a Congolese license). He has no insurance and has not completed his gray card transfer. It is controlled at 1.38 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. He receives an appearance on prior admission of guilt.

Finally, Monday, April 3, at 1:05 a.m., in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle, a 45-year-old motorist is the only one involved in a material accident. It is controlled at 2.16 grams of alcohol per liter of blood. Arrested, he was placed in a drunk tank and then in police custody.
