Some people suffer from insomnia during the holy month of Ramadan, and the reason is that the biological clock in the body is affected by the change in sleeping and waking times.

In this regard, Dr. Linda Jad Al-Haq, a clinical nutrition consultant, pointed out that it is easy to overcome insomnia in Ramadan by drinking a group of drinks during the pre-dawn meal.

Linda identified the best drinks that help combat insomnia in the following liquids:
1- Chamomile
Chamomile plays a major role in eliminating insomnia and enhancing the ability to sleep, in addition to its ability to strengthen the immune system and improve digestion.
2- Chamomile
It is one of the most effective drinks in fighting insomnia, as it helps calm nerves, relax muscles, relieve stress and anxiety, and combat depression.

3- herbal tea
Insomnia can be overcome in Ramadan by drinking herbal tea after eating the pre-dawn meal, because it is a drink that contributes to improving sleep quality.
4- Anise
Anise is known for its great ability to relieve the symptoms of colds and flu, but it also helps to reduce the feeling of insomnia, provided that it is eaten daily before going to bed.

5- Milk
Drinking a glass of milk at night in Ramadan will permanently rid you of insomnia, and the reason is that it contains:
Tryptophan acid: stimulates the brain to produce serotonin, a hormone responsible for improving mood and feeling relaxed.
Melatonin, the sleep hormone, regulates the biological clock.
6- Cocoa with milk
To enhance the ability of milk to combat insomnia, it is recommended to add cocoa powder to it, because it contains compounds that, in turn, help calm the nerves and relax the muscles of the body.

In conclusion, the nutritionist recommended avoiding fatty foods in the Suhoor meal, such as fried foods, because they cause digestive disorders and make it more difficult to sleep, stressing the need to replace them with healthy foods, such as bananas and dates.
