In the latest beta files of the WhatsApp for Android (2.23.8.2) editors WABetaInfo found references to a new feature that the developers of the messenger are working on.
She will allow block access to selected chats and protect them with a password or fingerprint. In this way, unauthorized persons will not be able to read our messages, even if they gain access to the phone.
Currently, the feature is still being developed and it is not yet known when exactly it will be available to users. Still, it’s one of those improvements we’re looking forward to seeing ourselves.
