American actress Judy Farrell, who became famous for her role as nurse Able in the legendary series MASH, has died. She suffered a stroke and spent the last nine days of her life in a hospital bed.
Farrell died on Sunday, her son Michael confirmed, the portal writes Mirror. After the stroke, she was no longer able to say a single word, so she spent the last nine days in silence.
She played nurse Able in nine episodes of MASH, set during the Korean War in the 1950s. She also appeared in front of the cameras with her first husband, Mike Farrell, who played Captain BJ Hunnicutt. They were married in 1963.
“She was conscious and shaking our hands,” he said TMZ a devastated son about his last moments with his mother.

Judy divorced Farrell in 1983 and married actor Joe Bratcher two years later. She has the aforementioned son Michael and daughter Erin with him.
After the series MASH, she appeared in minor roles in several American series that were not broadcast in the Czech Republic. She also wrote the scripts for 13 episodes of the endless series Port Charles, which aired between 1997 and 2003.
