As early as December 2017, a lawyer in the Salzburg district court had resisted the check by an employee of the security service at the entrance gate. And as a result illegally gains access to the inner foyer of the court.
Ultimately, this had unpleasant consequences for the lawyer:
First of all, he was sentenced to a fine of 500 euros by judgment of the Supreme Court, in the specific case responsible as an appellate court for disciplinary offenses by lawyers or trainee lawyers, after lengthy proceedings at the end of December 2022. Secondly, according to a ruling by the OGH that has now been issued, the lawyer ultimately has to shell out 800 euros in flat-rate costs for the appeals process.
