A decision aid, training and additional materials can help to safely reduce the number of antibiotic prescriptions for a suspected urinary tract infection in frail elderly people. Esther Hartman (doctor in training to become a researcher and geriatric specialist at Amsterdam UMC and UMC Utrecht) and international colleagues recently concluded this in The BMJ.
