Neighbors of Fernando de la Mora attacked police officers

The National Police reported the apprehension of two people for obstruction during the capture of a young man accused of aggravated robbery with a knife in hand. It happened at 6:15 p.m. this Sunday, on the streets of Capellanes del Chaco and Avelino Martínez.

The apprehended were Pedro Gabriel Alvarenga Villanueva, 35 years old, and Alberto Anastasio Alvarenga Villanueva, 42 years old, with no criminal record. After consulting the data of the first suspect in the Information System of the National Police, the interveners noted that he has a criminal record.

Assistant officer David Schembori and 1st officer Germán Ocampos went to the scene to verify a complaint of aggravated robbery, in which three people were victims. Those affected stated that they were intercepted on public roads by a man, who with a knife stripped them of their belongings.

A mob made up of relatives and neighbors wanted to rescue the two apprehended, generating a brawl and the assistant officer Cristina Pereira, the assistant officer David Schembori, the 1st non-commissioned officer Germán Ocampos, and the 1st non-commissioned officer Luis Esquivel suffered injuries.

The Police tries to identify the women who appear in a video assaulting the female officer in order to bring them to justice.
