The Australian RED is officially launching two very cool products today, one for hardware and one for software.
The first is the system Wireless MEconsisting of a wireless transmitter and receiver, both equipped with studio-quality microphones and the latest technology GainAssistfor automatic audio gain adjustment.
the other is the RED Capturea free iOS app that not only brings some cool video capture features (like its Dual Cam), but which also integrates with the company’s wireless microphones, offering full control of them through its interface.
The Wireless ME is both an evolution and a more affordable version of the Wireless GO II system, which we reviewed here two years ago. It is more modern, but does not have internal recording in the transmitters, for example.
MFi certified, Wireless ME can be connected directly to iPhones and iPads, as well as Macs/PCs or, of course, professional cameras. Your standard kit, with a transmitter and receiver, will cost US$149 us United States.
RØDE Capture can now be Downloaded for free from the App Store and requires iOS 16.0 or higher.
