The result of the first check that Donny Roelvink had done after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer is in order. The son of singer Dries Roelvink shares this on Instagram on Monday.
“My first checkup after my diagnosis. Everything is fine,” the reality star writes with a photo in which he gives his thumbs up.
In December Roelvink announced that he is suffering from testicular cancer. A plan of action was drawn up within 24 hours. “After hearing a positive CT scan result (which fortunately did not show any further metastases) I immediately went under the knife,” he said at the time. Roelvink underwent surgery to have one of his testicles removed.
Two weeks after the operation, the first good news for Roelvink followed: he did not have to undergo chemotherapy. Instead, doctors advised him to “watchfully wait.” This means that Roelvink receives “check-ups and ultrasounds” every so often “to keep a close eye on things”.
