He Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (Minerd) began the regularization of more than 4,000 monitors who have supported the teaching-learning process in the classroom for more than a year.
By means of the Departmental Order 057/2023, Minister Ángel Hernández summoned to participate in the contest-evaluation of monitors to those servants of Ministry of Education appointed as Monitor, who teach in the classroom at the Educational Levels, Subsystems, the Academic, Technical-Professional and Arts modalities of the structure of the Dominican Pre-University Educational System, and who have not formally entered the Teaching Career.
As reported by the Ministry, the professional profiles of the participants, according to Educational Levels, Academic Modality and Education Subsystems, professional families and titles of the Professional Technical Education modality, as well as all the necessary requirements can be seen in the Departmental Order posted at the website vvww.ministeriodeeducacion.gob.do, where also to participate, the monitor must register and complete the registration form.
Minister Hernández created the National Competition-Evaluation Commission, which will be in charge of developing the entire process, and which is made up of the Vice Minister of Teacher Accreditation and Certification, who presides; the Vice Minister of Technical and Pedagogical Services, the Vice Minister of Educational Planning and Development, the Vice Ministry of Supervision and Control of Educational Quality, the General Director of Human Resources and the General Director of Communications.
The ministry noted that the process to regulate more than 4,000 monitors that have been supporting the teaching-learning process in the classroom involves three stages: a) Assessment and Validation of the profile and professional merits; b) Application of Tests and c) Interview by Competencies.
“In the first stage, the Profile and Professional Merits are evaluated, in compliance with the requirements established in Articles 14 and 15 of this Departmental Order; In the second, two tests are applied: one of General Cognitive Abilities and another of Pedagogical and Disciplinary Knowledge. Finally, and the third stage consists of conducting an Interview by Competencies carried out by a team of interviewers with previously certified aptitude”, he specifies.
The Departmental order signed by the Minister of Education angel hernandez specifies that the monitors summoned will participate exclusively by the Educational Center where they teach.
The order establishes a period of thirty calendar days for the monitors register and attach the required documentation, a period that begins at the end of the second week of April 2023, when it is communicated by the different official means of communication that the platform of the portal vvww.ministeriodeeducacion.gob.do is enabled to register and upload the documentation required.
