After a three-year hiatus due to Covid, Aer Lingus has resumed direct flights from Dublin to Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut. The Hartford-Springfield area is New England’s second most populous region after Greater Boston, and visitors can explore historic sites such as the Mark Twain House, 45 licensed wineries, and the quaint seaside town of Mystic. Visitors can also stay at Delamar West Hartford, which is located near the airport and offers excellent overnight stays and massages.

Aer Lingus is also offering four weekly non-stop flights to Cleveland, Ohio starting in May. Cleveland is the largest city on Lake Erie and offers numerous nature reserves, sports events, music festivals, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum. For an authentic experience, visitors can check out the food and brewpubs hotspot in Ohio City or stay at Roost aparthotel.

Knock Airport in Ireland now has 16 new routes, including popular destinations such as Lanzarote. Visitors can enjoy the temperate all-year-climate and lunar-like scenery around Timanfaya or stay at a unique finca or yurt. Widerøe airline also offers twice-weekly flights from Dublin to Bergen, making the Norwegian fjords even more accessible. Visitors can stay at The Hanseatic Hotel, a quintessentially “wharf style” architectural hotel in the heart of Bryggen.

Asturias, also known as “Green Spain” in the north, is now directly connected to Dublin with Ryanair. Visitors can explore abundant cider farms, 10 Michelin-starred chefs, seven Unesco biosphere reserves, 40 craft cheesemakers, 16 golf courses, and even 400 brown bears. Visitors can stay in Oviedo, Asturias’s capital, or the historic coastal city of Gijón and enjoy a culinary treat at Palacio de Luces or the fancy Puebloastur Eco-Resort Hotel & Spa, overlooking the Sueve valley.
