There was a long shot of the bond in the series. Viewers immediately began to discuss whether this was an intention or just a joke of the creators.
Among other things, Michal Bláha drew attention to the “coincidence” on his Twitter account, which is also behind the State Watcher’s Twitter account. And that with a simple question: The Volga series. Did you notice the volume number?
A trip to the past
ČT prepared the series as one of the projects for its seventies.
It captures the atmosphere of Czechoslovak television in the days of normalization. Viewers will gradually look into the newsrooms, staffs, trucking… And most importantly, in five parts, they will follow the fates of the people who worked there in the seventies of the last century.
The plot mainly revolves around one of the TV drivers, Standa Pekárka, who mainly wants to have a good time. He does what he can. Even signing cooperation with the State Security is not something he “has to deal with”.
The series was created as an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Karel Hynie.
