On Sunday, parliamentary elections were held in Finland, in which the party of the incumbent Prime Minister Sanna Marin lost to competitors.
Marin’s Social Democratic Party won fewer votes than rivals in the right-wing National Opposition Coalition led by Petter Orpo. By midnight, 99.8% of the votes had been counted.
“Democracy has spoken,” said Sanna Marin, admitting her defeat in the elections.
