A serious one-sided accident took place on the Rijksweg near Jirnsum on Saturday evening. A car went off the road and ended up in the water, reports the police spokesperson. Several people have been seriously injured.
The accident happened around 9:25 p.m. Several emergency services, including the Mobile Medical Team, came to the scene.
What exactly happened and how many people were injured is still unknown, the police spokesman said. An investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
