Scientists believe that up to 30 percent of dementia cases can be prevented if you live a healthier lifestyle. Reason for Alzheimer Café Peelland to hold a meeting about how you can reduce the risk factors of dementia with exercise and a healthy diet.
Moderator Jac Huijsmans and publicist Peter Bakens discuss the relationship between a healthy lifestyle and the disease. For example, your brain uses no less than 20 to 30 percent of all the energy you get from food. So what you eat is extremely important for your brain. But research also shows that people who exercise enough get dementia less often.

The meeting on lifestyle and dementia will take place on Tuesday, April 4 in community center ‘t Kwartier at Markt 10 in Asten and will last from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The hall is open from 19:00. The café is intended for people with dementia, their loved ones and interested parties from Deurne, Asten and Someren.
