Bekir Beksan Akandere became the Chairman of the Cyprus Turkish Public Transport Association (KTTTB) in the single-candidate General Assembly.
According to the statement made by the Cyprus Turkish Public Transport Association, the 2nd General Assembly of the Union was held today in the conference hall of Gönyeli-Alayköy Municipality. Chairman of the Assembly Zorlu Töre, Minister of Finance Alişan Şan, Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı and Mayor of Gönyeli-Alayköy Hüseyin Amcaoğlu attended the General Assembly.
General Assembly, Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Cyprus Turkish Existence Struggle Leader Dr. Fazıl Küçük, Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş, and after a minute of silence in memory of those who lost their lives in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey on February 6, and the “Champion Angels”, the National Anthem was sung. Later, a council was formed and the President of the Cyprus Turkish Public Transport Association, Menteş Aytaç, who transferred his duties, made a speech.

In his speech, Aytaç stated that he had struggled in unity for many years and said that he had emotional moments while handing over the task. Arguing that public transportation should leave the state policy and enter the government program, Aytaç emphasized that the Motor Vehicles Passenger and Goods Transport (Inspection) Law No. 50/2000 should be amended immediately and stated that the transportation suffered greatly from this law.
Saying that public transportation should be developed, Aytaç wanted this issue to be examined as soon as possible.
In the General Assembly, after the speeches, thank you plaques were given to the people who have been transporting for many years. The activity and financial report was read by the head of the council, Attorney Kemal Mut, and the general assembly ended after the election of the organs.

While İbrahim Başar Aytaç, Mehmet Özsezer, Mustafa Dağgül, Engin Malyalı, Memduh Şeker, Mehmet Kurtbaş, Mehmet Özcafer, Hasan Kalkanlı, İbrahim Aslantürk, Erkan Kilim, Hasan Eşan, Kazım Uğursöz, Kemal Çağlaş, Hasan Kalkaner were elected to the Board of Directors, the substitute members were Ayhan Demirtaş, Osman Güngör, Hüda Nalbantsoy, Sami Yediyıldız were determined.
