“Man breaks fast before traveling: Is it permissible? Sheikh Al-Mutlaq provides answer.”

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutlaq clarified the ruling that a person who intends to travel should break his fast in his home before he embarks on the journey.

And he said during an interview with the “Fatwas” program broadcast on the Saudi channel: “It is not permissible for him to break his fast until he takes the description of the traveler, and the description of the traveler does not come to him while he is in his home.”

And he continued: “If he leaves his village, he takes the description of the traveler, and it is permissible for him to break his fast, but if he is in his home, it is not permissible for him to break his fast.”
