“I’ve never heard of it (mark up the price of rare Honda car items), so don’t ask me. If it’s somewhere else, please ask something else. If we always communicate it between APM and dealers to deliver it to consumers, that’s on the road, right? ,” Billy said on the sidelines of the launch of the All New Civic Type R at the Raffles Hotel, South Jakarta, Thursday (30/3/2023).
“What the retail price in each region looks like, judging from a number of factors, for example, what market conditions are, what kind of demand, that’s communicated to us, you know. So he didn’t make it himself,” Billy continued.
As is known, the All New Civic Type R has currently ordered 95 units. Currently, only 15 units of the sixth generation car have come to Indonesia. All consumers are lining up to get this unit in stages depending on the supply conditions of the All New Civic Type R, which is now only produced in Japan.
“Only 10 have been sent, 15 have arrived. Ordered 95 units. Those that haven’t arrived yet will already be available next month, in May there will likely be 10, the next month will also be 10, in July the allocation will be above 10. It depends on what the developments are like in the middle of the road,” he said.
The All New Honda Civic Type R is a more mature hot hatchback with a faster engine. This car is equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder K20 VTEC Turbo engine. On paper, this car can generate power of 315 hp at 6,500 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 2,600 rpm – 4,000 rpm. When compared to the usual Civic with a 1.5L engine, it has almost twice as much power.
That amount of power is channeled through a 6-speed manual transmission with Rev Match Control. Through this feature, gearshifts are made more responsive, then the Rev match control system makes pedal operations more quickly adaptable to the driver’s wishes when changing gears.
Interestingly, the Honda Civic Type R offers four driving modes, namely Comfort, Sport and +R modes and the Individual mode for the first time in this model. This car is also equipped with Honda SENSING intelligent safety technology.
The All New Civic Type R now features the Honda LogR Datalogger System as a driving guide which can also be personalized and functions to record and analyze the driver’s time records accurately. This feature can also provide accurate guidance and data information for drivers when driving on circuit tracks such as Gear Position Display, Tachometer, G-Meter, Boost Pressure, Brake Pressure to Tire Friction Circle.
In Indonesia, the All New Honda Civic Type R is available in a choice of Championship White, Rally Red, Crystal Black, Sonic Gray, Racing Blue colors. This fully imported car from Japan is sold for IDR 1,399,000,000 (OTR Jakarta).
