Jakarta

Government Ukraine has ordered 100 Rosomak multi-purpose armored vehicles, which are made in Poland under a Finnish license. Polish Prime Minister (PM) Mateusz Morawiecki made this statement on Saturday (1/4/2023).

“I brought with me the order placed yesterday by (Ukrainian) Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal for 100 Rosomaks to be made here,” Morawiecki said during a visit to the Rosomak manufacturing site in the southern Polish town of Siemianowice Slaskie.

Reported by the news agency AFPOn Saturday (1/4/2023), the order would be financed through funds Poland received from the European Union and United States funds received by Ukraine, he said, without providing details or the full cost of the contract.

The United States and its allies have provided Ukraine with some funds and weapons after Russia invaded the pro-Western country in February 2022.

The Rosomak is an 8×8 multi-purpose armored vehicle manufactured under license from Patria, Finland.
