1994 Olympic champion in figure skating Oksana Bayul criticized the decision to ban Ukrainian athletes from competing in the Olympics-2024 selection along with athletes from Russia and Belarus.
“The whole world is screaming that the decision of the IOC and its leader Bach is a shame. But the Ukrainian Minister Gutzeit issues a post that this is a victory. It is ironic how Ukraine has gone from enthusiastic anticipation of a ban on Russian athletes to a ban on its own Ukrainian athletes.”
