Square Enix is determined to bring more of its games to PC as it recognizes that the platform is performing well outside of Japan. Square Enix has had an exclusive deal with PlayStation consoles for a long time, but lately it has become increasingly active in porting games to PC.
In Japan, Square Enix has posted a job opening for a PC Platform Support Technician and is looking for a candidate who can provide game development and distribution support on places like Steam and the Epic Games Store. The job requires experience in PC technical support, knowledge of game engines, and familiarity with distribution methods. Most notably, the introduction clearly affirms Square Enix’s intent to expand overseas, and that the investment in PC is to better serve this demographic.
