Russian President Vladimir Putin has largely lived inside the Kremlin in Moscow since the war started last February.
It is Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov who tells this to the news agency Tass.
Putin has a number of residences, and it is common to see the entourage with the president and the guard driving in motorcades in and out of central Moscow day after day.
But now Putin lives more or less firmly inside the Kremlin, the historic fortress in the heart of Moscow, where the president has his office.

The background to the question was that Putin, in an interview with the television channel Rossiya-24 on Saturday, said that he had brought Chinese President Xi Jinping into the apartment to have the informal talks last week.
– We had a working lunch, and then I invited the president, as a friend, to move us to another room, I have an apartment here in the Kremlin that I have spent a lot of time in recently, I work here and spend the night very often . So we moved there and while we sat by the fireplace and drank tea we calmly talked about everything, Putin said.
The Communist leader Gennadij Zjuganov recently revealed that Putin often called him in the middle of the night to discuss matters.
– He has a busy schedule and should be treated with respect. He always calls, sometimes after midnight, Zjuganov said. The Communists are among Putin’s supporters in Russian politics.
