Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists circulated on social media, video clips of deliberately colliding cars and shooting in the air in the capital, Riyadh, which sparked interaction.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior re-published the “camouflaged” video clip on its Snapchat page.
The media spokesman for the Riyadh police said in a statement: “Referring to the visual content circulating on social media of a vehicle driver accompanied by another, intentionally hitting a number of vehicles on one of the roads of the car showrooms south of the city of Riyadh and trying to escape and shooting in the air, the security patrols arrested him while he was citizen”.
The spokesman continued: “It was found from the inference procedures that he was in an abnormal condition, which resulted in the injury of two people and material damage to (7) vehicles.
