Wuling Alvez launched at the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS 2023 exhibition. This low SUV type vehicle made a scene because the price was relatively cheap, starting at IDR 209 million with status on the road Jakarta.
Even though the price is cheap, the technology and convenience of Wuling Alvez cannot be underestimated. That is why, from the first launch, the vehicle was immediately invaded by many buyers.
“Since it was first launched at IIMS 2023 yesterday, Wuling Alvez has ordered almost a thousand units,” said Marketing Director of Wuling Motors Indonesia, Dian Asmahani in Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday night (30/3).
According to Dian, of the total sales, the highest variant or EX accounted for nearly 90 percent. While the rest is divided for the CE and SE variants.
“Most of the orders were for the EX variant, which contributed almost 90 percent. While there were buyers who were first buyers, there were also those who wanted to add cars or replace new cars,” said Dian.
“If we talk about SPK, it’s a niche. Meanwhile, the average age of consumers is in the range of 25 to 35 years. So indeed most of them come from young people,” he added.
Wuling Alvez is currently offered in three different variants, namely SE, CE and EX. The difference from the exterior, only the EX type is equipped with LED lights, Daytime Running Light, fog lamp, roof rails, shark fin antenna, rear wiper and electric sunroof. The EX variant is also equipped with ADAS and WIND.
Meski demikian, seluruh varian Alvez dibekali Anti Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Dual SRS Airbags, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Seatbelt Reminder, ISOFIX, Immobilizer anti theft alarm.
Meanwhile, for its mechanical heart, Wuling Alvez uses a DOHC engine with a capacity of 1,485 cc inline-4 cylinder. The machine is assembled with a bore size of 74.7 mm and a stroke of 84.7 mm. This provision makes the car capable of producing 105 hp and 143 Nm of torque.
