“Anti-Racism and Anti-Semitism Citizen Workshop in Licra CHALÔN-EN-CHAMPAGNE Studios Hosted by Radio Mau-Nau 90.6 with the Academy of Reims Rector as Guest Speaker – Licra Promoting Anti-Racism Since 1927”

Once a month, as part of a partnership linking the Châlonnaise radio station Radio Mau-Nau 90.6 to the Pierre Bayen high school, the Licra de Châlons and other local associations, a citizen workshop is organized around a social subject. or a significant event related to citizenship and commitment. The Licra has been a partner of Radio Mau-Nau 90.6 since the start of the 2015 school year. These workshops are recorded and are the subject of several podcast broadcasts.
Thus, as part of the “Week of education and action against racism and anti-Semitism” promoting the commitment of institutions in this area and in particular of National Education in partnership with DILCRAH, the citizen workshop for this month of March was devoted to the “fight against racism and anti-Semitism”, with the participation of Nelly BEAUFORT, president of the Licra de Châlons.

Anna, Justin, Rose, Lila and Thalia, second-year students from Pierre Bayen high school in Châlons, accompanied by their history-geography and EMC teacher, Arnaud GORBONNOFF, took part in this workshop.
They first carried out, upstream, a micro-sidewalk with two young civic services of the radio with passers-by in the city center of Châlons from questions that they had previously developed.

Then, on the afternoon of Wednesday March 22, all the players in this action met for a debriefing of the micro-sidewalk. Exceptionally, Mr. Olivier BRANDOUY, rector of the academy, wishing to discover and promote this action, took part in this workshop, accompanied by two of his collaborators, Mr. Pascal LALMY and Benoît DROUOT, as well as Mrs. Sabine BONNET, principal of the Pierre Bayen high school.
This meeting gave rise to many rich exchanges as well as testimonies on both sides.

After these exchanges, the program was recorded in the studio consisting of a debate between the students, the president of the Licra and the rector of the academy, hosted by Alain, director of Radio Mau-Nau 90.6 .
The high school students showed great relevance and maturity in their reactions and answers to the questions asked.

The headmistress welcomed this partnership with her establishment and with the Licra, to which an appointment had already been given for an intervention on Thursday March 30 in front of 35 second-year students as an extension of this citizen workshop.
