The KPK previously searched the house Here on Monday (13/3). KPK investigators ransacked Dito’s house for 6 hours.
From the search, KPK investigators found a total of 15 firearms from the house Here. 15 There are several types of firearms. Five of the firearms are Glock types.
“Five Glock type pistols, one S&W pistol, one gimber micro pistol, and 8 long-barreled firearms,” said Head of KPK Reporting Unit Ali Fikri at the KPK Building, South Jakarta, Friday (17/3).
The KPK also found another fact that the rifle was stored in a special room. This was revealed by the Director of Investigation of the KPK Asep Guntur.
Asep said that initially his party did not target looking for firearms during the search. However, these findings were revealed when investigators combed every room in Dito Mahendra’s house.
“I also happened to be there, it’s true that in a room there were found 15 shoots complete with ammunition, firearms, live ammunition,” said Asep at the KPK building, Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday (20/3).
“So we were also at that time because the weapon was not the object we were looking for, it was not included in the object we were looking for. But of course the whereabouts of these weapons had to be communicated and coordinated with the National Police,” he added.
Guns Handed over to Police
After securing the 15 senpi, the KPK handed them over to the National Police. The Police are currently investigating the ownership of the gun.
“For the 15 rifles that the KPK has handed over to the National Police, the National Police are currently investigating the origins of the rifles, we will update them later,” said Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, Monday (20/3).
The KPK is also currently investigating whether the weapons are included in the TPPU section or not. The KPK is currently still gathering evidence.
Of course the KPK will further investigate the ownership of the firearms, including whether there is any connection with the alleged TPPU which is currently being carried out by the KPK,” said Ali.
