We didn’t expect that! Released images from the upcoming ‘Joker 2’ sequel have given fans a glimpse of what Joaquin Phoenix will look like this time around as the titular criminal clown. The 48-year-old actor was spotted on the set of the film, walking down a side street, dressed in sloppy, even dusty clothes. His emotions reflected that he was worried. What does it mean? He seems to have some disagreements.

The photos released give us a better look at Phoenix in a clown suit, though not quite in the way we expected. Well, Arthur Fleck has ditched the bright red, yellow and green clothing, preferring a much more muted and understated outfit. The clown makeup is applied, but much more sloppily than the first time.
Phoenix was spotted walking the streets of the Bronx wearing a brown shirt with a loose gray tie. Some remnants of his white and red Joker make-up are still visible on his face (his clown make-up with blue eye shadow and bright red lips appear to have melted over his face), and he also has fake blood streaks on his ear and chin, possibly , consequences of disagreements.
The actor wore a dusty gray suit jacket and matching trousers, completing his look with brown shoes.
Oddly enough, Phoenix appears to be wearing the same dusty brown suit he was seen in earlier this month filming in downtown Los Angeles. His suit looks just as dusty as it did earlier this month, which is thought to be dust from some sort of explosion, although this has yet to be confirmed.
The production of the film started already in December, filming took place both in New York and Los Angeles.
So far, fans know very little about the plot other than that Lady Gaga has been cast as Harley Quinn in the sequel and that director Todd Phillips is making it into a musical. Of course, it is also known that “Joker: Folie à Deux” is expected to arrive in theaters on October 4, 2024.

We remind you that the movie “Joker” is a prequel to the story of the well-known superhero Batman and tells how Joker became a villain and Batman’s greatest enemy. Its main character, Arthur Fleck, is a failed comedian who, dressed as a clown, wanders around Gotham City and constantly encounters violence. Fleck gradually loses his sanity as he transforms into the villainous Joker.
The Joker received critical acclaim and received 11 Oscar nominations, including Best Actor and Best Original Film. IGN gave The Joker a perfect review, calling it “a film that should appeal to comic book fans and non-fans alike.”
