Orange vigilance maintained for snow, several roads in Lozère still prohibit trucks over 7.5 tonnes.

Watch out for the snow in Lozère! Orange vigilance is maintained this Tuesday. If school transport is again provided, on the other hand a new decree has been issued by the prefecture. Heavy goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes cannot circulate before noon in certain sectors.

According Meteo France, the snow should continue to fall in the Lozère department on Tuesday. Orange vigilance is therefore maintained on Tuesday until 3 p.m.

School transport, suspended on Monday, resumed its rotations, but for heavy goods vehicles, the situation remains difficult: the prefect of Lozère took a new order imposing a temporary traffic restriction, until noon, for goods transport vehicles over 7.5T.

As can be seen in detail on the website Inforoute48, lakeTraffic is prohibited on:

  • The RN 88 from Mende to the limit of the department of Ardèche,
  • The RN 106 between the junction with the RN 88 (Balsièges) and the junction with the R.D. 907 bis (Ispagnac),
  • The departmental roads located north of the RN 88 and the RD 901 to goods transport vehicles of more than 7 and a half tonnes.

The circulation of vehicles assigned to the public transport of people over 3.5 tonnes, excluding school transport, is also prohibited to and from the Ardèche.

In addition, special equipment remains mandatory throughout the department.
