Theater presents Héctor Delgado’s remarkable journey

The life of Héctor Delgado, who went from being a famous singer and pioneer of the urban genre to being a pastor, comes to the theater for the first time with the play “El payaso… La verdadera historia de Héctor El Father”.

“Bringing the story of my life to the theater is part of God’s plan to continue showing what my life was like before and after following in his footsteps,” Delgado said in a press release.

The current leader of Maranatha Ministries explained that God took him out of “that hole” in which he found himself in 2018, when his singing career was in full swing and he opted for religious conversion. Héctor El Father’s life took a turn when he said enough is enough, took off his clown mask and followed God’s call, according to the statement, which also presents the work as “an instrument of evangelization.”

“The Clown: The True Story of Héctor El Father” will be presented on April 15 at the Caguas Fine Arts Center, in Puerto Rico, for the benefit of rehabilitation homes for addicts.

The play, written by Gil René and directed by Axel Cintrón, will portray how Delgado lived surrounded by applause, fame and money, but empty, with the face of a clown. The cast is made up of Lynette Torres and Carlos Miranda and has the special participation of Alex Capó (formerly Alex Trujillo) and José Fuentes (formerly Pepo Loíza).
