Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has created a series of business laptops ExpertBookwhich has gained popularity among corporate customers in a short time.
For business customers, the manufacturer offers both a wide range of products for the needs of any company and the possibility of placing special configuration orders, and premium warranty programs and high quality service. Artūrs Kadincovs, SIA Numbero APP the manager states that premium warranty service and affordable price were one of the main reasons why the company chose to buy directly ExpertBook series laptops.
Three-year warranty
A computer is a very important tool in our business, so my colleagues and I carefully evaluated and analyzed the market for a long time until we came to the decision to purchase the specific model, notes A.Kadintsovs. “We have bought three now ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip laptops, which cost us 3,600 euros in total. It must be said that computers with a similar configuration from other manufacturers were much more expensive, so taking into account this fact and my previous successful experience with others ASUS models, the choice was pretty self-explanatory. There was also an important aspect premium warranty – ASUS was the only manufacturer that also offered a three-year warranty to legal entities already at the basic price. Other manufacturers, in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights, usually provide a two-year warranty for natural persons, and a one-year warranty for legal entities. This is a very short period, as we have previously encountered several situations when, a couple of months after the end of the warranty, the computer breaks down and we have to repair it at our own expense. In this case, we can be sure that we can live for three years without unnecessary headaches, because the manufacturer has taken care of us – even if something happens to the computer, it will be repaired,” notes A.Kadintsovs.
Kaspars Kalniņš, ASUS the representative in the Baltic States notes that the manufacturer offers a three-year warranty to everyone ASUS Expertbook series computers. “This service is provided by the Latvian service center in case of need, but business customers can also receive the so-called service for an additional fee on site service. In practice, this means that the equipment is not sent away for repair, but is repaired at the customer’s place. In addition, the business series is available to customers MyASUS the mobilized app with a personalized account, where all the necessary information is available in one place, and it is also possible to extend the warranty period,” says K. Kalniņš.
Built-in internet
As another essential ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip A.Kadintsovs also mentions the possibility of inserting a SIM card into the computer as an advantage. “This option solves many problems, as it allows you to fully work with your computer anywhere and at any time, regardless of location and Internet availability. We no longer need to bother with modems, wi-fi connections or hotspots from the phone, because the computer is able to provide the Internet independently. As we operate in the field of information technology (IT) and one of our products is also an electronic invoicing platform, we also appreciate that ExpertBook Series laptops have a built-in ID card reader. It certainly makes our everyday life easier, because it allows us to be verified quite simply, as well as to electronically sign various documents and invoices. Previously, in order to do this, we needed to connect a separate ID card reader to the computer, which, of course, was not always possible,” recalls A.Kadintsovs.
K. Kalniņš noted that computers with a built-in 5G modem provide access to the Internet anywhere a mobile network is available, while the ID card reader significantly facilitates secure user identification. “Currently, computers with an ID card reader are in great demand on the Estonian market, but with the increase in popularity of remote work, interest in them is also increasing in Latvia. In addition, it is important to note that ExpertBook B7 Flip is also equipped with multi-level security, which protects the information on the computer and allows sensitive data to be safely stored in it,” says K. Kalniņš.
Adapts to needs
In general, it must be said that when creating the new series of business laptops, ASUS has certainly thought about covering all the needs of business customers as much as possible, says A.Kadintsovs. “We see that ASUS has been able to perfectly adapt to the demand of this segment and created a very affordable, but at the same time powerful solution and successfully launched in the market of business customers,” concludes SIA Numbero APP manager, adding that in addition to those already mentioned ASUS ExpertBook B7 Flip benefits, this model also gives its users several other nice bonuses. “The laptop can be easily transformed and used as a tablet, which is useful, for example, when presenting an offer on trips. Also, a big plus is the computer case, which is not only light, but also moisture-resistant,” notes A.Kadintsovs.
K. Kalniņš, on the other hand, adds that any Expertbook the device of the series is provided with the military durability standard MIL-STD-810H, which confirms its resistance to shocks, heat, cold and dust. “This is one of the main aspects that differentiates this series of computers from home computers. Likewise, all inputs, outputs and hinges are equipped with additional protection so that they can withstand the load of a business work environment with a usage time of 8-10 hours a day,” explains K. Kalniņš, emphasizing that when creating this series of laptops, ASUS has thought not only about customer needs, but also about sustainability.
Must be produced green
Durability is a very important aspect in today’s world, which is why our devices have also received several international certificates attesting to quality, says K. Kalniņš. “The CE certificate ensures that the product complies with safety, health and environmental requirements, in turn Energy Star and EPEAT certificates certify the efficiency of energy consumption. We have also received several certificates that show that we use sustainable materials in the production process, as well as recycled packaging, which reduces our company’s CO2 footprint in the long term,” says K. Kalniņš, emphasizing that ASUS is also one of the participants of the RE100 renewable energy initiative, which has decided to significantly increase the use of renewable energy in production in the coming years.
“In Taiwan, we plan to use only energy produced using renewable energy resources in production as early as 2030, while at the global level we plan to achieve such a goal by 2035. We also want to reduce our CO2 footprint in our global operations centers by 50% by 2030 and achieve a number of other goals that would allow us to become even more sustainable and greener,” says ASUS representative in the Baltics.
