A day later, Selena Gomez commented under several videos from fans and denied the rumors of a fight. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift appeared to be part of the drama, as a video surfaced of Hailey faking a gag on stage at a live performance when the singer’s name was mentioned. Gomez defended her longtime friend Swift in a comment on social media. Fans now want to see this as another indication of a dispute between Bieber and Gomez and portray Bieber as a “mean girl”.

In a Tiktok live, Gomez finally said goodbye to her fans shortly afterwards – she justified the social media break with the word “I’m 30, I’m too old for this”. An allusion to the dispute, many fans think. During the break, fans have continued to search for clues. Justin Bieber posted several photos with his wife on Instagram with the caption “LUV U Baby”. However, the fans in the comments assume that their love is not real and that Justin is actually on Gomez’s side. Justin Bieber has not yet commented on this, but continues to post loving pictures with Hailey.

After the two had not commented on the alleged dispute for a long time, Gomez took a stand on her Instagram story at the end of March. She writes: “Hailey Bieber got in touch with me to let me know that she was receiving death threats and a lot of hate. I don’t stand for that. No one should experience hate or bullying. I’ve always stood for love and kindness and I want it all to stop.”
Hailey Bieber also went into detail on her Insta-Story, thanking Selena Gomez after the two “discussed how to distance themselves from the ongoing narrative between the two.” She also emphasizes how much more important love and harmony are than hate and negativity. It seems the hatchet is buried – if there ever was one.
