TVA Sports | Panthers vs Maple Leafs on VAT SPORTS

The TVA Sports channel is broadcasting a game tonight that will certainly be of interest to Montreal Canadiens fans, as the Florida Panthers visit the Toronto Maple Leafs.

And a defeat of the Panthers would deal them a very hard blow in the race for the playoffs.

Paul Maurice’s squad are three points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins, who hold the last ticket to the spring tournament in the Eastern Conference.

Needless to say, the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge owns the Panthers’ first-round pick in 2023 due to the trade that involved defender Ben Chiarot last year.

If the Florida club is excluded from the playoffs, the CH would bet on two first-round choices eligible for the draft lottery on May 8.

Matthew Tkachuk’s father is not tender

Earlier today, TSN Toronto 1050 radio station conducted an interview with Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk’s father, Keith.

The one who played 120 in the National League was really not kind to the team of his elder.

“It’s a matter of life and death for the Panthers right now. They’re a weak team and they’ve got what they deserve right now. They should be much better than they are,” he said.

“Instead of asking for autographs [aux joueurs des Maple Leafs] Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, they should hit them harder,” Keith Tkachuk added when asked about the game of the night.

Then, the father did what no good father should do by comparing the teams of his two boys. The youngest of the Tkachuk family, Brady, is the captain of the Ottawa Senators.

“I know I sound like a frustrated person. However, I watch Ottawa play, a less talented team: they [les Sénateurs] always play hard. Maybe Florida should learn from them.”

Everything will be a great topic of conversation at the next family dinner…
