“New Degree Course in ‘Law and Finance’ Introduced by Lyon 3 University”

This three-year course provides students with a comprehensive experience in law and finance, preparing them for careers in legal, business and finance. Students will take courses in fundamental legal principles, including French law, the French constitution and the European Union, as well as specific branches of law such as civil law, commercial law and criminal law. They will also acquire expertise in business management through courses in financial analysis, accounting, management control and business strategy.

The Faculty of Law offers several degree courses to meet the needs et student aspirations :

Law major degree – Finance minor: new course “Law and Finance”

The Law Major License – Finance Minor, called “Law and Finance” is a course in three years which aims to give students fundamental and general knowledge not only in law but also in subjects related to finance, while opening them up to taking into account historical, political, economic and social contexts.

By following the Law major, students acquire a solid knowledge of legal principles French law, the French constitution and the European Union. Different branches of law, such as civil law, commercial law and criminal law will also be covered. They also learn to reason analytically, argue and communicate clearly on complex legal matters.

The Finance minor, on the other hand, trains students in the different aspects of Business Management, integrating financial analysis, accounting, management control and business strategy. Students also develop decision-making, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, which prepare them for careers in management, finance, and strategy consulting.

Graduates are able to understand the business legal issues and to help them make the best strategic decisions for their development. They will be able to continue their studies in Master in Law or Management offered at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University.
