While the maximum remuneration for 24-hour call duty was set at 1,170 euros, the ceiling was raised to 1,390 euros on Monday. It applies to temporary doctors who are covered by the “Rist law”, adopted in 2021, but never really applied until then.
It therefore sets a ceiling that hospitals are not allowed to exceed. It should be remembered that many establishments operate thanks to temporary workers. Until now some of these doctors could receive up to more than 3,000 euros for a 24-hour call.
It should be noted that the national union of substitute doctors in hospitals is protesting about this amount.
