Since the arrival of Ramadan, a warm atmosphere reigns in our streets and in our homes. Being able to spend this sacred month in community is a privilege that many Algerian nationals cannot benefit from. Fortunately, some are active in celebrate Ramadan even abroad. This is what happened in New York in particular, where many Muslims gathered to break the fast and pray in the heart of the city.

Iftar and collective prayer to Times Square for US Algerians
This Sunday, March 26, a large gathering of Muslims formed in the middle of Times Square, New York. The group, which numbered hundreds of believers, came together to perform the prayer of the Taraweeh right on the street. This is not the first time that such an event has taken place in New York. During Ramadan 2022, a collective prayer of Taraweeh had also been organized and reached by hundreds of devotees. A gesture that breaks the separatist stigma and strengthens the ties between the communities of the region.

Just before the prayer, and Iftar collective took place and allowed all the participants to break the young in a united atmosphere. The City of New York welcomed the initiative with joy, considering it beneficial for the city’s unity and diversity.
Adhan authorized, cities decorated, tolerance is required abroad for this Ramadan 2023
In the same vein, various acts of tolerance have been recorded in several cities around the world. In London, for example, light garlands came to sublimate the city on the occasion of Ramadan.
