The Historic Structures Fund has allocated €4.5 million towards the repairs of 95 heritage projects in Ireland. The funding has been granted to various projects across the country, with €278,000 going to five projects in Mayo and close to €300,000 being allocated to four buildings in Carlow and Kilkenny. A separate €13 million fund has also been established to purchase and renovate old rural buildings in efforts to combat dereliction.
