Cristiano Ronaldo staged another celebration after scoring in Portugal’s 6-0 win against Luxembourg on Sunday.
The superstar drew the world’s attention for years with his viral SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-Cheers to himself: he jumped, spun and shouted along with the crowd. He had introduced that cheer during his time at Real Madrid and brought it with him to both Juventus and Manchester United.
But at the Red Devils, Ronaldo also introduced a new celebration where he clasped his hands in front of his chest and tossed his head as if taking a nap.
After joining Al Nassr, CR7 chose between the two styles of celebration when scoring goals – but when he scored for his country against Luxembourg, Ronaldo surprisingly took a different approach.
Instead of choosing between his two trademarks, Ronaldo chose to mix the two!
After his close-range goal, Ronaldo charged for the corner flag and pirouetted around his SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-Initiate cheering. But when the crowd started shouting along with him, the striker switched to his napping pose.
It’s not the first time Ronaldo has mixed two styles of celebration, having done so on occasion during his time at Juventus.
In Turin, Ronaldo turned once for his SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-Cheers before copying the mask gesture popularized by then-teammate Paulo Dybala.
