Of Monday March 27 au 14 avril 2023the parents of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche) are invited to carry out the school registrations, extracurricular et extracurricular for their children the year 2023-2024. For a first school registration, it is advisable to make an appointment with the structures in charge of registration in the delegated municipalities.
For a renewal of after-school care, school catering and extra-curricular activities, the procedure is dematerialized from the Family Portal and of the site from the city.
Who is concerned ?
THE parents whose children will be entering school for the first time: children entering the small section (PS) of kindergarten born in 2020; children entering the very small section (TPS) born in 2021 and aged 2 on the day of the start of the school year (subject to availability); children arriving in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin or moving within the new municipality.
Derogations are however possible so that the pupil continues to be educated in the same establishment or if he is looked after after class by a maternal assistant. For the other levels, school registration is done automatically: parents therefore do not have to take any steps, unless they wish to be exempted.

How to proceed ?
First, make an appointment by telephone with the structure that manages registrations in the delegate municipality of residence. On the day of the appointment, show up with the vouchers requested.
Secondly, with the pre-registration certificate issued by the City, contact the school principal to confirm registration.
Extracurricular and catering?
For children attending school for the first time, these registrations will take place at the same time as school registration.
“For renewal of registrations (children already registered in 2022-2023), go to the Family Portal (portailfamilles.cherbourg.fr),” says Dominique Hébert, Childhood and Education Assistant.
