Ridiculous Assertions

The case is continuously updated!

On Monday this week, there is a hearing in the lawsuit against Associated Newspapers Ltd. (ANL). Among the plaintiffs, in what has become a class action, one finds, among others, Prince Harry (38), Elizabeth Hurley (57) and Elton John (67), it writes Sky News.

– We can’t afford it

The plaintiffs accuse ANL, which is the publisher of The Daily Mail, of tapping their phones and other breaches of privacy.

David Sherborne is the lawyer representing the prince and the other claimants at Monday’s hearing.

ANL has strongly distanced itself from the accusations, describing them as “absurd claims”, and claims that the lawsuit is a hopeless quest to uncover conditions that do not exist.

Prince Harry has now arrived at London Court, Reuters reports.

Only one thing

This is not Prince Harry’s only ongoing lawsuit. In May, Prince Harry will again face ANL in court. The prince sued the newspaper after they published an article alleging he was trying to cover up a legal challenge he had with British authorities.

“A plaster on the wound”

In the wake of the prince and his family stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, they lost the right to have the British authorities and the royal house pay for their security. The content of the article was that the authorities allegedly refused the 38-year-old to pay for his own security guards.

Prince Harry’s much talked about autobiography “Spare” was published on 10 January. During a visit to Liverpool, Prince William and Duchess Kate were asked about the book. Reporter: Marte Nyløkken Helseth / Dagbladet TV.

There is talk of a libel lawsuit – the prince believes the content of the article is defamatory and incorrect. ANL disagrees and believes that the article expressed an “honest opinion”.
