The National Bank of Saudi Arabia announced the issuance of the board of directors’ decision related to changes at the level of the board of directors, managing director and chief executive officer of the group, after obtaining the non-objection of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia.

The bank said in a statement on “Saudi Tadawul”, today, Monday, that the Board of Directors agreed to accept the resignation of Ammar bin Abdul Wahed Al-Khudairi from the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Saudi Arabia, as of March 26, 2023, due to his special circumstances.

The Board agreed to accept the resignation of Saeed bin Muhammad Al-Ghamdi from his position as Managing Director and CEO of the Group, as of March 26, 2023, while continuing his membership in the Board of Directors.

The Board decided to appoint Saeed bin Muhammad Al-Ghamdi as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Saudi Arabia, as of March 27, 2023, until the end of the current Board session.

Deputy CEO Talal bin Ahmed Al-Khereiji has been assigned the position of CEO of the National Bank of Saudi Arabia, as of March 27, 2023.

It is noteworthy that Talal El Khereiji holds a master’s degree in international business and a bachelor’s degree in international economics from Georgetown University, USA.

Talal El Khereiji also has more than 27 years of professional experience, most of which he spent in the banking and financial institutions sector. He has held many positions, the most recent of which was the Executive Vice President of the National Bank of Saudi Arabia.
