A fire on the Kristin product tanker off Indonesia has resulted in the deaths of two crew members, with one seafarer still missing. The ship, carrying 5,900 litres of fuel, was en route to Lombok and Bali when the blaze started in the early hours of Sunday morning near Lombok. The tanker was owned by Hanlyn Jaya Mandiri, but was chartered to Indonesian state energy company Pertamina, which has sought to assure the public that the incident would not affect fuel supplies to tourist destinations. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
