Traffic must take into account a lot of delays on the A27 from Breda to Gorinchem and the A58 from Tilburg to Eindhoven on Monday morning. One lane was closed on both roads following an accident.
The accident on the A27 happened around a quarter to seven near Gorinchem. The closure of the left lane there led to an eleven kilometer long traffic jam from Geertruidenberg around a quarter past seven. The ANWB warned of more than an hour delay and advised traffic in the direction of South Holland to drive via Waalwijk on the A59 and the A2.
Another accident on the A27
That closed lane has been released since ten to seven thirty, but it will take some time before the traffic jam is resolved. Around eight o’clock there was still thirteen kilometers of traffic jam from Geertruidenberg.
Then things went wrong on the road from Gorinchem to Breda. There, after a collision that took place around a quarter past seven in the morning, the left lane was closed at Oosterhout-Zuid. This led to an eight-kilometre long traffic jam from Geertruidenberg around seven thirty, but this lane was soon released again.
Collision of four cars
Things went wrong near Best on the A58. Four cars collided there. The left lane was also closed there. This led to a twelve-kilometre-long traffic jam from Moergestel around seven thirty, causing a delay of almost one and a half hours.
A diversion has also been set up here. Traffic in the direction of Eindhoven was advised to drive via Den Bosch via the A65 and the A2. The closed lane was reopened just after eight o’clock and the problems on this road were a thing of the past around half past eight.
