The imam of the “Naji Al-Ali” mosque in Siblin in the Al-Kharroub region – Chouf, Sheikh Khaled Yahya, was shot after a problem occurred in front of the mosque.
In the details, a problem occurred in front of the mosque, which prompted the sheikh to go out and push the quarrels away from the door of the mosque, so one of the people drew his weapon and shot directly at the sheikh’s left foot.
The sheikh was transferred to the emergency department at Ghassan Hammoud Hospital in Sidon, where he is receiving treatment.
In a statement, the “Islamic Group” in Mount Lebanon denounced the “flagrant attack” on the preacher and imam of the Naji Al-Ali Mosque in Siblin, Sheikh Khaled Yahya, and called on the security services to “arrest the perpetrator who shot the sheikh in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.”
