The Mitsubishi L300 is one of the legendary pickups that still survives in the Indonesian automotive market today. Now, the pickup, which has been around for more than 40 years, is now more modern.
Currently, the Mitsubishi L300 is equipped with a Euro 4 standard engine. This follows government regulations which require that the latest vehicles must have a minimum emission standard of Euro 4.

Mitsubishi’s mainstay commercial vehicle recently arrived with a fresh new face. The Mitsubishi New Colt L300 is the latest generation of the legendary “Super” pick-up model in Indonesia which has been known and a mainstay of Indonesian consumer businesses for several generations since 1981. The Mitsubishi L300 has been present in Indonesia for more than 40 years and has been a business partner for several generations. .
Now, the Mitsubishi New Colt L300 is equipped with a new 2,268 cc diesel engine with the 4N14 model – DOHC 4 Cylinder Inline, Direct Injection, Inter Cooler Common Rail Turbocharger. The engine produces 99.25 PS / 3,500 RPM of power and 200 Nm / 1,000-3,500 RPM of torque. That figure is 40% larger than the previous model.
Another update is in the cargo size. Now, the Mitsubishi New Colt L300 comes with a cargo size that is 8% wider, or 200 mm longer to 2,630 mm.
The superior features and comfort in the interior of the NEW Colt L300 are found in a spacious cabin, new speedometer design, new door handles and new speaker positions.
From the exterior, the Mitsubishi L300 now has a new bumper design and a new grille design with more chrome plating. In addition, the Mitsubishi New Colt L300 also gets changes with a 100 mm higher cabin position.
The latest L300 also comes with two options, namely, Flat Deck Pick-up and Cab Chassis, which are flexible and can be adjusted according to the suitability and business needs of consumers.
“We have proven for more than 40 years that the quality of the product from the L300 is very good and accepted by the public. We also have high quality after-sales service for light commercial vehicles with spare parts that are very available and easy to obtain,” said Naoya Nakamura, President Director of PT MMKSI.
One of the consumers of the L300, Mardenggan Bagariang, who is a businessman transporting chicken eggs, said that the L300 Euro 4 is more powerful. Plus the payload is bigger.
“I also see that this car is more fuel efficient, plus it has good power compared to its competitors. I am impressed with the payload because now the payload is more because the tailgate is longer than before. Apart from that, the suspension is very comfortable, especially when there is a load. So it’s stable when driving on dirt roads and paved roads,” he said.
