“Manhattan 12th-Floor Fall Claims Life of a Worker”

The Department of Buildings orders work halted at a Manhattan construction property for investigations after a construction worker died after a fall on site.

The incident occurred at a time when the worker was carrying out carpentry work on the 12th floor of a 57-story building located at 270 Park avenue.

The unfortunate fact was recorded on Friday morning.

Investigators determined that the 55-year-old man lost his balance and fell approximately 20 feet down a hole.

Emergency personnel found him unconscious, without vital signs and with trauma to his head and body.

His death was declared at the scene.

The works have been completely paralyzed after what happened.

The investigation continues.
