A price difference of 10 euros on a shopping basket with 27 products. Those who shop at Aldi are currently the most expensive, according to research by Box. Compared to six months ago, prices in the supermarket have risen on average by about 13 percent.
In the shopping basket of Box contained 27 everyday products, such as oranges, tea and detergent. In the six supermarkets tested, the cheapest variant of each product was purchased. The prices of the previous survey were also compared to the current prices. At Jumbo, prices rose the fastest with 16.99 percent. Lidl had the least price increase, but still exceeds 9 percent.
Aldi comes out as the most expensive
This time Aldi comes out as the most expensive supermarket with a price of 66.46 euros for the shopping basket. Box noted an 11.93 percent price increase from September. “This supermarket is a discount formula, so it should score much better,” it said plan.
Jumbo is the most expensive supermarket after Aldi. The shopping basket Box cost here 65.36 euros. In third place is Albert Heijn, with 64.84 euros.
Dirk is the most advantageous
The cheapest shopping basket was scored at Dirk van den Broek. There the basket cost 56.46 euros. Although Dirk came out as the most advantageous, prices also rose here. Groceries were more than 13.5 percent more expensive than in September.
