Dornhan will be in the spotlight on SWR television next week. Every evening, an episode of the Baden-Württemberg State Show shines on the city.

“The small town of Dornhan on a plateau in the foothills of the Black Forest offers amazing things. Clever people have settled here,” says the announcement by SWR television. Optimism paired with entrepreneurial spirit, courage, creativity and zest for action characterize the citizens and lead to a lively urban community. Some of these citizens are shown on the show. At the age of 23, Robin Ott dared to open a new butcher’s shop, while Krystyna Laskowski, in her late 70s, still offers therapy riding on her Arabian horses.

Free time is very important

Bärbel Bitzer has dedicated herself to a craft from the Anglo-American world: she makes beautiful quilts, which she sells and exhibits. And then there is a former hosiery factory. Production hasn’t been here for a long time, but Peter Schütz offers a huge selection of special socks on two levels.

Leisure time is also very important: in the Bettenhausen district, a support association has pushed ahead with the renovation of the Glatttal outdoor pool and will start operating in early summer. Hiking and biking trails lead into, out of, and around Dornhan.

In the Landesschau Baden-Württemberg, the series “One week in Dornhan” can be seen on SWR television next week, from Monday, March 27th to Friday, March 31st, at 6:45 p.m.

Easter Monday report

On Easter Monday, April 10th at 6:05 p.m., SWR television will also broadcast the report “Dornhan – 6,000 residents, 6,000 ideas”.
