Actor Jonathan Majors, who plays the villain Kang The Conqueror in the new phase of Marvel movies, was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of assaulting a 30-year-old woman.
Majors was also accused of strangling and beating the female in a domestic dispute, the New York Police said. So far this year, Majors has had major roles in the movies “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.”
The Police added that they responded to a call made to the 9-1-1 Emergency System around 11:00 am for an argument in an apartment in the Chelsea neighborhood, located in Manhattan.

“The victim told the police that she was assaulted. Officers arrested a 33-year-old man without major incident. The victim received minor injuries to her head and neck, for which she was transported to a hospital in stable condition, ”said a New York Police spokesperson.
Said spokesman later said that, by the afternoon, Majors was not in police custody. A representative for Majors denied that the actor had anything to do with the incident.
“He (Majors) hasn’t done anything wrong. We are looking forward to clearing his name and clearing everything up,” the representative said via email.
Majors is one of the highest rising stars in Hollywood. After breaking out in “The Last Black Man in San Francisco,” Majors starred in “Da 5 Bloods,” “The Harder They Fall” (on Netflix) and “Devotion.” She also stars in the film “Magazine Dreams” that will debut in December.
