“Hi, I’m Lionel Scaloni. Welcome to my Crib”begins the video that the current coach of the Argentine National Team recorded 17 years ago for the program MTV Cribsbut that went viral in the last hours on social networks.
The images are from 2006, when Scaloni lived in London and played in West Ham. In this context, she was encouraged to open the doors of her house and tell intimacies about her day-to-day life.
In the note, made in English, a barely 28-year-old Scaloni showed his unknown and more relaxed side. “I like to cook. I like noodles, chicken, salads. Every morning I drink ‘Argentine tea’ (because of the mate), and it’s delicious”, said the now coach of the National Team. As he spoke, the camera focused on the details of the kitchen he had at the time in his fantastic London apartment.
These images correspond to a fragment of the program MTV Cribs, focused on showing the houses and way of life of different celebrities, naturally also from sports. “This is where we eat. When my family from Argentina visits me, my mom cooks her specialty, the Argentine asado, which is like steak,” continued Scaloni.
In one of the shots you can see him lying down, while he tells what he liked to do after training: “In the afternoon I like to relax. I watch TV, I take a nap. I like the computer, the Internet, reading Argentine newspapers, chatting with friends”.
Then, he was encouraged to show the clothes he had at that time. “I like the Italian and Argentine style. I like sportswear. My favorite jacket is this, Argentine-style (with the national flag),” she said.

Finally, Scaloni showed the garden of his house and stated: “I have a fantastic view of London (with a hydromassage included). It’s very cold outside, but in here (in a sort of sauna) it’s always hot.”.
